The Audi A3 is a fine car with the 2.0T powerplant (it’s a dog with the 1.8), but it lives in the shadow of its bigger brothers, the S3 and RS3. RevoTechnik’s IS38 big-turbo upgrade and the accompanying hardware make for a compelling argument when shopping for a used A3, but wanting more power and better handling for less than the price of a new S3. Making 400 HP at the crank, and backing it up with full suspension and big brakes, this A3 is a screamer on the track.
