Maserati Boomerang Sold for $3.76 Million
Last time we came across this car, the Boomerang featured highly last year for Louis Vuitton print and video ads. The celebrity factor is quite high in this lost soul, but there’s not much to say about the motor sitting under the hood.
We’re talking aboutt a mid-mounted 4.7-liter carbureted V8 engine driving the rear wheels with some 310 horsepower, although these specifications were the initial figures, so there’s no telling how things look today.
The pre-sale estimate of about $4.54 million was never met, but that doesn’t mean the final bid wasn’t impressive. On September 5, at the Château de Chantilly, France, the vehicle rolled across the Bonhams auction block collecting a super high price of $3.7 million.
