Jaguar F-Type SVR Convertible spy photos
The automotive spies have sent us the first set of photos with the Jaguar F-Type SVR Convertible.
We have seen the Jaguar F-Type SVR testing several times but only in coupe version and now its soft top brother has joined the action ahead of an undisclosed official launch in the first half of next year 2016.
Built by JRL’s Special Vehicle Operations, these two versions will sit on top of the range and are expected to come only with an all-wheel drive configuration and the 8-speed Quickshift automatic gearbox.
You will be able to tell these two apart from the lesser Jaguar F-Type models by the beefier body which will be even more meaner and aggressive than the R and will include a huge rear wing together with enlarged air vents.
Powering the Jaguar F-Type SVR duo will be a higher specification V8 5.0-liter supercharged engine pushing out more than an insane 600 bhp (447 kW).
The added power will likely be matched with a larger set of brakes and there will also be a higher performance stiffer and lower sports suspension to make the vehicle even more agile.
Taking into account the Jaguar F-Type R AWD Convertible needs only 3.9 seconds for the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) blast, expect the Jaguar SVR to complete the task in approximately 3.7-3.8 seconds while the top speed should increase beyond the current jaguar R’s 186 mph (300 km/h).
Our estimation is Jaguar will bring both versions the coupe and convertible Jaguar F-Type SVRs to the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016, but an online unveiling will obviously occur sooner than that time .
