Hennessey 2015 HPE800 Z06 Corvette 0-175 mph Test Run – Video

You might want to turn up the sound on your computer speakers or headphones to hear all those  delectable sounds coming from Hennessey’s 800 horsepower strong Corvette Z06 tuner car.

While the video of Hennessey’s Corvette Z06 test run performed at Houston’s Ellington Airport doesn’t tell us how long it takes for the  Corvette Z06 HPE800 to reach 175mph (281km/h) from  standing start, it does give us a taste of what it feels like to me in this machine.

To reach the boost from the stock Corvette Z06’s 650 horsepower at 6,400 rpm to 800 horsepower at 6,500 rpm, the Texas tuning company made all sorts of improvements to the 6.2-liter supercharged V8, including, but not limited to, a retuned ECU, high flow cylinder heads, new cold air intake system, upgraded valve springs and a custom camshaft.

If you prefer something a little less modified car, Hennessey also offers the slightly milder HPE750 tuning kit with 750 worse power .
