Charger Hellcat HPE800 & HPE850 by Hennessey
Isn’t putting even more horsepower into the world’s fastest super sedan more or less an overkill? Hennessey performance certainly doesn’t seem to think so and to be honest, we totally agree.
On the bright side, an extra 100 horse power isn’t going to hurt anybody, and that’s what HPE has achieved here, giving the Dodge Charger Hellcat a total of 805 horsepower – from its initial 707 horsepower.
The Hennessey HPE800 comes with a new ECU tune, upgraded tuning software, high flow air filter, a lower pulley upgrade which increases boost by 1-2 psi, and of course a few aesthetic changes such as the Hennessey embroidered head rests and the exterior emblems.
If that is not enough power for you, you can go for the HPE850 version which has 852 horsepower and should, at least in theory, be considerably quicker than the standard Charger Hellcat.
It still probably might not accelerate as fast as a McLaren 650S, but it might cut around half a second off the Hellcat’s already fast 0-62 time.
