Nissan’s Secret Weapon? The 2026 N7 Electric Sedan Revealed
Nissan has officially stepped into the high-stakes electric sedan market in China with the all-new 2026 Nissan N7. This sleek electric four-door sedan is the result of a joint project between Nissan and its Chinese partner Dongfeng. Designed from the ground up for the Chinese market, the N7 brings modern tech, a bold design, and solid performance to the table.
The N7 stretches 4,930 millimeters in length, 1,895 millimeters in width, and 1,487 millimeters in height. With a wheelbase of 2,915 millimeters, it offers a roomy cabin that goes head-to-head with rivals like the Volkswagen ID.7. It rides low and smooth, thanks in part to a drag coefficient of just 0.208—making it one of the most aerodynamic sedans in its class.
Performance-wise, buyers can choose from two rear-wheel drive options: a base version producing 160 kilowatts, or a more powerful 200 kilowatts version. In simple terms, you are looking at 215 horsepower or 268 horsepower. Both versions are powered by lithium iron phosphate batteries supplied by Sunwoda, known for their balance of performance, safety, and longevity.
The inside of the Nissan N7 feels like stepping into the future. The infotainment system is powered by the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip, making everything from navigation to streaming quick and seamless. Nissan also partnered with Momenta to equip the N7 with a smart driver-assistance system, including features like Navigate on Autopilot, enhancing safety and convenience during highway drives.
This model is built exclusively for the Chinese market with no confirmation yet on global availability, but that could change depending on its success. Considering its stylish design, strong feature set, and advanced tech, the N7 could definitely stir up the electric sedan game outside China too.
