The future of beastly Mercedes AMG-tuned German automobiles seems to look good
We couldn’t help but feel a little saddened by the fact that the Mercedes C63 AMG went out of production and took the muscle bound naturally aspirated, 6.3-litre V8 brut along with it. But at least Mercedes is planning something just as awesome with the initials “AMG” and a Coupe bodied Mercedes C-Class.
Everybody knows the vehicle’s arrival is imminent, as Mercedes continuously teases it to no end, but Mercedes doesn’t hesitate to label it as something insanely fast. And it might be, since it has been developed on the ‘Ring.
Needless to say, the 2017 Mercedes C63 AMG has been spotted working its way around the Green Hell and the thing seems to be a devil of a vehicle. Just look how tail happy it gets while exiting the concrete surface around Kleines Karussell, but that’s to be expected from a German muscle developing at least 470 horsepower.
Anyway, we don’t know how Mercedes thinks downsizing works, but a 4-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 isn’t exactly…you know, small. But you know what? I’m not complaining. We are just glad they’re sticking with the V8 layout.
