Since the new Volvo XC40 is still in the early stages of development, little is known about.  However, Volvo has already confirmed it will ride on their new Compact Modular Architecture (CMA).  The automaker also has revealed models based on the CMA platform will share a number of components – including engines, infotainment systems and climate control systems – with models riding on the larger SPA platform.
