2016 Nissan TITAN XD going to SEMA – Video
LAS VEGAS – A mere five months ago, a single 2016 Nissan TITAN PRO-4X drew record attendance for the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) “measuring session.” That same vehicle – a show truck from the TITAN global unveil in Detroit – has been re-imagined as the “Measured for Success” TITAN XD, built completely by SEMA members at the SEMA Garage.
The all-new Nissan TITAN XD can be seen at the SEMA Garage display in “SEMA Central,” located in the grand lobby of the 2015 SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“It was an honor to have partnered with SEMA on this project, and we’re very excited how the first-ever industry-modified 2016 Nissan TITAN XD has turned out,” said Pierre Loing, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. “The SEMA Show is a great opportunity to really dive deep into everything automotive and meet with the real industry trendsetters.”
With the TITAN XD delivered to SEMA in late September at its Diamond Bar, California headquarters, time was limited to get ready for the show. With a distinct exterior evocative of Nissan’s extensive off-road racing history setting the tone, SEMA members visited the SEMA Garage and installed:
Icon Vehicle Dynamics: 2.5” Stage 5 Suspension System
Fab Fours: Vengeance Front &Rear Bumpers
Banks Power: Banks Ram-Air® Cold Air Intake
Magnaflow: PRO Series Exhaust
Westin: Thrasher Board Running Boards
T-Rex: STEALTH X-METAL Grill
EGR: Bolt-On Style Fender Flares
Baja Designs: OnX6 20” LED Light Bar, Squadron Pro LED Lighting
KMC Wheels: XD Series Machete
Toyo Tires: Open Country M/T Tires
ARB: 37QT Fridge/Freezer
Warn: ZEON 8-S Recovery Winch
Hi-Lift: All-Cast Jack
“SEMA and Nissan partnered to create the first-ever aftermarket customized 2016 Nissan TITAN XD using only products that were developed as a result of the SEMA Nissan TITAN XD Measuring Session,” said Jim Moore, senior director, OEM Relations, SEMA. “As a result of this Measuring Session, a wide array of aftermarket products were developed for the Nissan TITAN XD, well in advance of the vehicle being available for consumers to purchase. The Nissan TITAN XD Build demonstrates the great potential that exists from SEMA Measuring Sessions when automakers and the SEMA community work together.”
Nissan’s SEMA 2015 presence – Booth #30024
Nissan returns to the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world, featuring all-new 2016 TITAN XD full-size pickup trucks, a track-tuned GT-R and more.
A trio of all-new 2016 Nissan TITAN XD models will be shown at the SEMA Show. In addition to the SEMA “Measured for Success” truck in SEMA’s display, in Nissan’s booth there will be two – a specially-outfitted Genuine Nissan Official Accessories TITAN XD Platinum Reserve featuring key components from a new, 50-plus piece accessory lineup. The truck’s integrated gooseneck hitch will be hooked up to a trailer carrying a unique Cummins® Project TITAN XD (to be revealed at a press conference on Nov. 3 at 4 PST).
It would not be SEMA without a GT-R, and for the first time ever, Nissan will be showcasing the 2016 GT-R NISMO N-Attack Package. Developed by Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd., the NISMO N-Attack Package consists of the dedicated parts that were specially developed through the time attack project at Nürburgring in Germany, where the Nissan GT-R NISMO recorded the fastest-ever lap time for a volume production vehicle. In the U.S., Steve Millen Sportsparts Inc. (STILLEN) was chosen by NISMO as the official installer and certified sales agent for the package.
