Lego BMW E30 M3 Can Become Reality if 10,000 people support it
Out of the hundreds of cars that BMW created over the years, the E30 M3 probably has the biggest following out there. People just go crazy over it and there’s a good reason for why they do so.
It was the first M3 in history and proved that you don’t need a huge engine or a big bodykit to drive around fast and have fun. The E30 was what all M cars should be: light, fast and fun to drive.
Under its hood, it had a 4-cylinder for God’s sake, one that repeatedly grew over the years but never went over 2.5-liters in size and then it was only for a limited number of cars. However, the lightness of the body and the fantastic chassis setup by the Motorsport division made it a winner in the DTM and other various events as well as in our hearts.
One big fan of the car decided that having a Lego version would be a good idea. Amir Pasha, a mechanical engineering student, decided to post his opinion on a website dedicated to this kind of stuff, backed by Lego themselves.
The car can become reality if it wins the support of 10,000 people that want it to go into production. Lego will do so, but we have to show commitment. Therefore, you can go to their website and show your support and once the 10,000 figure is reached, the company will make it.
There’s a catch, though. The number of supporters must be met within a year and we have 180 days left to reach at least 5,000 signatures (after that we will get another 182 days to gather the rest). Since at the moment of writing this article there were 2,678 pledges, I think we can make it happen. If there was a time when the E30 M3 community needed to stick together, this is it!
