Luxurious Subaru WRX S4 SporVita in Japan
Subaru has taken the wraps off a more luxurious WRX S4 (JDM-spec) known as the “SporVita.”
Set to share the spotlight in Tokyo late this month with the VIZIV Future and Impreza 5-Door concepts, this posh version of the Japan-only WRX S4 gets its name from the Italian words “sportiva” (“sports”) and “vita” (“life”) and adds some high-end amenities such as the leather upholstery created in collaboration with well-known Italian leather maker Mario Levi. It also has some special trim and instrument panel decorative effects along with a two-tone leather finish on the door panels, steering wheel and the gear lever.
Stepping outside the cabin, Subaru’s WRX S4 SporVita rides on 245/40 R18 high performance tires and comes equipped with the Advanced Safety Package working with together with the standard EyeSight system to offer a superior level of safety.
Just like in the standard Subaru WRX S4 JDM-spec, power is provided by a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that pushes out 300 PS (221 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque sent to the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system through a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) featuring fully automatic electronic control.
It’s unclear at this point whether this is a show car or Subaru has plans to sell it locally, but we will find out on October 28 once it will debut at the Tokyo Motor Show.
