Bugatti Chiron prototype spies at LAX Los Angeles Airport
Posted on Instagram “hungry_pigeon” has posted a couple of super spy shots which look like a Bugatti Chiron prototype duo.
Last week we posted a not so clear photo with a heavily disguised prototype at an airport in Los Angeles and now it’s back again in the same. alongside a second test car.
Chances are the vehicles traveled to United States to be privately shown to exclusive buyers at Pebble Beach and now they are back in Europe to continue their testing schedule.
The attached photos were taken at Los Angeles LAX airport and unfortunately there’s not much to talk about in terms of how it will look like as the vehicles were covered up pretty good, but at least we can see that one of the vehicles has the rear wing extended.
At first look it doesn’t look all that different compared to the Bugatti Veyron’s arrangement, but it’s too early in the development stage to say taking into account this prototype probably didn’t have all the production parts and pieces.
We remind you Bugatti has released a vague teaser several days ago and most likely they were hinting at the Bugatti Veyron replacement set to use the Bugatti Chiron moniker, although this hasn’t been confirmed.
The supercar has already been confirmed to use a hybrid setup and is expected to use an upgraded W16 8.0-liter quad turbo pushing out an insane 1,500 bhp (1,118 kW) thanks to e-turbo technology.
The 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) blast will allegedly take as little as 2 seconds and they are targeting a top speed of more than an incredible 280 mph (450 km/h).
Look for an official review of the production vehicle likely towards the end of next year, but a concept should debut in March 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show.
