2017 Mercedes E-Class remote parking pilot system – Video
Mercedes-Benz has released a brand new video previewing the remote self parking pilot system in the next generation Mercedes E-Class.
Mercedes says the parking can be a nightmare when the car alongside has parked so tight that it is impossible to open the door of your own vehicle, so it has developed a remote parking system controlled outside the car through a smartphone app. The driver is allowed to move forward and backward and steer the vehicle remotely.
From what we know about the new Mercedes E-Class so far, the car is expected to go on sale next year, marking the return of the inline 6-cylinder diesel engines for the company. We are talking about a 2.9-liter diesel unit with 313 horsepower that will be joining a range of 4-, 6- and 8-cylinder motors, including a 1.6-liter diesel with 122 horsepower .
