2016 Kia Sportage official photos leaked

Official photos with the new you fourth generation Kia Sportage have hit the Internet.

Earlier this week we posted several none camouflaged spy photos of the all-new Kia crossover from the car manufacture, and now we have gathered some official photos courtesy of TheKoreanCarBlog.

While the overall design of the SUV has remained pretty much the same, the shape – elaborated in Europe – is actually quite different when compared to the current model and makes the SUV look bolder and more dynamic.

We don’t have official photos of the interior just yet but in the following spy photos we saw a blend between the Kia Sorento and Optima to create what Kia is stating their “most refined” interior ever.

The specifications are already known since the new Kia Sportage will use the same platform, engines and transmissions as the latest Hyundai Tucson. As a consequence, there will be a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 135 PS in naturally aspirated version and 176 PS when turbocharged.

Diesel engines will include a 1.7-liter CRDi with 115 PS and a larger 2.0-liter rated at 136 PS and 184 PS. These will work with six-speed manual transmission, six-speed automatic and seven-speed dual clutch transmissions sending power to the front wheels as standard or to an AWD setup optional at an additional cost.

We will get to see the all new Kia Sportage in all it’s glory at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in mid-September, but an online unveiling is expected  for August 25.
