2016 BMW M2 F87 Coupe spied in a parking lot – Video
A very close to production prototype of the BMW M2 Coupe has been spied in a parking lot in Germany.
It was with the final spec front bumper with larger air intakes and breathers while the fuel door cap was round whereas the one the BMW M235i is square.
Also noticeable are the blue color brake calipers, trunk lid spoiler wing, quad performance exhaust setup and the large diameter 19-inch wheels similar to those on the bigger brother BMW M4.
We know for sure it will be offered with a manual six-speed standard gearbox and an optional seven-speed dual clutch a.k.a. DCT, with both connected to a six-cylinder, 3.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing about 370 PS (272 KW) and 465 Nm (500 Nm with overboost).
Body colors will be limited to Mineral Grey, Long Beach Blue, Alpine White and Black Sapphire combined with a black leather interior featuring blue stitching accents.
The BMW M2 Coupe will likely premiere in a few weeks, so stay tuned for the full official unveiling.
