Zotye S21 is an Audi Q3 clone

Chinese car maker Zotye has introduced the similar looking as Audi Q3, S21 crossover at the Chengdu Motor Show.

After their Porsche Macan clone, Zotye is striking back with a copy of Audi Q3 taking the shape of the S21 crossover with an interior design that looks like the Tesla Model S.

It’s 2015, but Chinese automakers and Zotye’s design team still prefers to just create some minor modifications to current car models from reputable carmakers, without actually taking any big risks of getting slapped by legal documents as the laws in China for copyright infringement are elementary.

Design aside, local media is posting the Zotye S21 comes with a four-cylinder, 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine connected to a standard five-speed manual or an optional continuously variable gearbox.

Like we posted in previous articles, such clones aren’t really any competition for the original models since the price difference between the real vehicles and the Chinese clones is in all cases huge, so anyone who is in the market for a genuine German built Audi Q3 won’t decide to save money and go for the S21, especially since from a technological point of view the  vehicles have nothing in common.
