Why the 2026 GR Supra Final Edition Changes Everything
After years of pushing boundaries on the track and the street, the Toyota GR Supra is taking one last lap with the 2026 GR Supra MkV Final Edition. This farewell version of the fifth-generation Supra celebrates everything the GR badge stands for — performance, passion, and precision born from motorsport experience.
Since Akio Toyoda, also known as Morizo, brought back the Supra in 2019, the GR Supra has built a strong legacy. Developed with help from Toyota’s GAZOO Racing division, this car was not just made for the road but honed on the racetrack — including the legendary Nürburgring. For 2026, Toyota is wrapping up production with a version that takes everything learned over the past few years and turns it into a more complete sports car experience.
The MkV Final Edition is not just about looks. It features upgraded performance hardware like larger Brembo brake discs, retuned differentials, and a stronger underbody brace to improve grip, control, and confidence when cornering. Toyota also added a carbon fiber ducktail spoiler, front wheel arch flaps, and optimized steering response for more precise handling on any road — or track.
It still runs on the tried and true 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine. With 382 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque, this engine delivers rapid acceleration and smooth power delivery. Expect a 0 to 60 mile per hour sprint in just 3.9 seconds when paired with the 8-speed automatic transmission or 4.2 seconds with the 6-speed intelligent manual transmission. The automatic gearbox offers relaxed control, while the manual version provides rev-matching and optimized torque during gear changes for those who want a more involved experience.
Toyota also enhanced the suspension system with revised electronically controlled dampers and strengthened bushings and mounts to give drivers a tighter connection to the road. The GR Supra MkV Final Edition rolls on 19-inch matte black wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires for maximum grip.
Inside, the cockpit is designed for both comfort and performance. Red seat belts, Alcantara and leather trim, and GR-embroidered seats bring a sporty vibe to the cabin. The Final Edition even includes special touches like a GR cupholder cover and camo-themed car cover. Technology is up to date, with an 8.8-inch touchscreen display, optional JBL 12-speaker premium audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility, and wireless charging.
The MkV Final Edition is also available with a GT4-style pack, inspired by the GR Supra GT4 EVO2 race car. This package includes two matte-exclusive colors — Burnout and Undercover — plus GT4-themed graphics and unique exterior details like red mirror caps and a matte black rear emblem.
If you are a fan of Toyota’s legendary sports car or just love precision-tuned driving machines, this is the version to watch. Production ends in spring 2026, so expect these to be a hot item when they hit dealerships starting spring 2025.
