Skoda’s Elroq RS Revealed – 340 HP and Bold New Tech in 2025
Skoda is stepping up its electric game with the new Elroq RS, bringing a fresh blend of practicality and sporty character to the compact electric SUV segment. Based on the modular electric drive matrix platform, the Elroq RS shows that even a maturing platform can still deliver excitement and refinement when done right.
The RS version gets a dual-motor setup that sends power to all four wheels, generating a total output of 340 horsepower. That is the same figure seen in the updated Eniaq RS, but because the Elroq is a bit lighter, it edges out its sibling with a slightly quicker acceleration time—going from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 5.4 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 180 kilometers per hour, which is more than enough for most European roads.
One of the standout features of the Elroq RS is its 84 kilowatt-hour battery, with 79 kilowatt-hours usable. It is rated for up to 550 kilometers of driving range on the WLTP cycle, which is only a small drop compared to the single-motor Elroq 85. That one reaches up to 580 kilometers, but the extra motor and performance edge of the RS make the trade-off easy to accept. Charging is quick too—thanks to peak charging power of 185 kilowatts, it can go from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 26 minutes under ideal conditions.
The driving experience is upgraded with a sports chassis that includes progressive steering and a lower ride height—15 millimeters at the front and 10 millimeters at the rear. For those looking for even more customization, Skoda offers adaptive dampers under the DCC chassis setup. This system allows up to 15 levels of adjustment in Individual mode, letting drivers fine-tune their ride feel depending on mood or road conditions.
Braking power has also been beefed up with two-piston calipers up front to match the performance capabilities. That is the kind of detail that adds confidence when driving spiritedly or just managing stop-and-go urban traffic.
Comfort and tech are definitely not left behind. Standard equipment includes matrix LED headlights for better visibility without blinding others and supportive sport seats with a massage function on the driver’s side. The Elroq RS also gets a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems to improve safety and convenience. One standout feature is Remote Park Assist, which lets you guide the car into tight spaces via the MySkoda mobile application. Parallel or perpendicular parking from your phone? That is the kind of future we can get behind.
Skoda managed to make the Elroq RS feel exciting, functional, and smartly designed, all without making it feel overdone or excessive. If you are looking for an electric vehicle that balances fun and everyday usability, this is one to keep an eye on.
