Quattro GmbH – New Audi RS4 Avant is coming early

Audi just unveiled the 2016 Audi  A4 but that hasn’t stopped Quattro GmbH boss Heinz Hollerweger from revealing new details about the upcoming Audi RS4 Avant.

Talking with to Car & Driver, Hollerweger confirmed the model will be “launched rearlier in the production cycle” and it will feature a turbocharged six-cylinder engine that develops more than 420 horsepower.

While Americans were denied the last RS4 Avant last generation, Hollerweger said “The U.S. is changing and there is more demand there Avants aka Wagons, so maybe that will change.”  Even if the Audi RS4 Avant doesn’t make it stateside, the executive hinted the next-generation RS5 Sportback could eventually come to America later.
