Porsche fans burn Rag & Bone clothing in retaliation for crushing a Porsche 911 – Video

Remember a  few days ago Rag & Bone the closing company, the fashion label who crushed a Porsche 911 SC in their latest campaign? We really hope you don’t if you are a Porsche fan. Regardless, it seems their advertising campaign has worked. A group of classic car enthusiasts have acquired some of the brand’s clothing creations.

Nevertheless, not many car enthusiasts were ready to wear them anyway. After the label dropped a unique slab of concrete block onto a Porsche 911, it’s not hard to understand why. So what do you do with such clothes? Well, since the campaign was that spectacular, it required a response that was just as spectacular – for one thing, you can burn then instead of crushing them.

Yes, we know, the retaliation video, which comes from Haggetry Classic Cars, can easily be labeled under “Revenge”, not exactly something the car community is trying to promote in anyway. But we can’t be hypocrites and forget to tell you we enjoy seeing somebody taking initiative against such frivolous campaigns as the Porsche 911 crushing one.

The burning resulted from the response action won’t bring back that artful and beloved 1979 Porsche 911 SC, but we hope they’ll bring some sense into executives who approve such ideas. Or better-planned agency pitches.
