Porsche 991 GT3 Without Rear Wing
The owner of a wingless Porsche 991 GT3 991 thought it was a good idea to eliminate the rear wing for reasons we do not understand.
Among the many interesting vehicles – including the Mercedes Benz C111-II experimental vehicle – which where at last weekend’s Cars & Coffee event in Aliso Viejo, CA, one of them captured our attention: this wingless Porsche 991 GT3.
We don’t know why the owner of the Porsche decided to remove it, but we also notice he modified the rear trunk lid to incorporate the third brake light which in the standard on the GT3 is built into the wing.
Maybe the GT3 wanted to make his Porsche 991 GT3 less racecar looking, but the end result is not what we would consider desirable since the rear end just looks empty without the wing and that bulging trunk lid doesn’t help matters either as it makes the car look like it is wearing a diaper.
