Porsche 718 2.0 and 2.5 turbo engines specs
Autocar had the opportunity to take the 718 Boxster for a quick spin and managed to find out it will have a flat-four unit codenamed “9A2B4T.” It has a single turbo and is capable of developing approximately 300 hp (220 kW) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque, with the redline set at a little over 7,400 rpm.
As for the Boxster S and Cayman S, the engine in these two will have a 2.4- or 2.5-liter displacement and power will stand at around 360 hp (265 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm). The turbocharger in this engine could use Porsche’s proprietary Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) as implemented in the 911 Turbo.
