Mustang explodes into fire at the drag races – Video

A nitrous line bursts and causes this Ford Mustang to BURST into flames in an unfortunate turn of events. Drag racing can be very dangerous, and this is a perfect example of how your race car can be destroyed in seconds. Unfortunately this fire wasn’t able to be put out quickly and the front hood, fenders, and bumper got burnt to a crisp.

Common Causes Of Nitrous Explosion

Too high pressure or heat will cause them to blow.
Sometimes you get a defective valve that blows too early. They are rated for different levels.
It’s rare that it happens, but it’s why the track requires a blow-down tube to vent the N2O outside the car.
