Morgan AR Plus 4 unvailed with 225 bhp Cosworth engine

Following yesterday’s notice, Morgan has introduced the AR Plus 4 at the 2015 Silverstone Classic car event.

Constructed to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the original Plus 4, the new version is Morgan’s most powerful 2.0-liter production vehicle ever and it’s the first time when they use a Cosworth engine.

Only 50 cars will ever be made and each will pack a 225 punch (168 kW) wrapped around a package weighing only 900 kg (1,984 lbs).

Details about the performance are not available at this point, but most likely the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run will take approximately 6 seconds.

Aside from featuring a different engine, the AR Plus 4 comes with a newly developed suspension, tweaked chassis, new brakes as well as adjustable performance shock absorbers and matte black 16-inch rims.

The weight was kept down by adding aluminum door panels and floor while both headlight and taillight clusters benefit from LED lights technology.

Inside the “fully loaded” interior there’s a redesigned dashboard and a stylish combination of high quality metal and leather.

Morgan’s asking price is £54,995 for their new AR Plus 4 and you’d better hurry as some of the vehicle have already been pre-sold.
