Mercedes celebrates Back to the Future Day – Video
Back to the Future day is fast approaching, so Mercedes-Benz has decided to celebrate it by releasing a series of short clips to honor the highly appreciated trilogy.
On October 21, fans of the popular franchise directed by Robert Zemeckis will celebrate BTTF day and automakers have decided to join the party, with Toyota leading the way with their Mirai ad starring none other than Michael J. Fox and Christopher Loyd. Now, Mercedes-Benz is releasing not one, but three BTTF-themed short clips of the F 015 Luxury in Motion concept.
The three videos are a throwback to some futuristic high-tech products seen in the movies, such as the automatic dog walker and the hoverboard, while the other clip shows the aforementioned concept appearing out of nowhere in the same vein as the DeLorean time machine which traveled in time after hitting 88 mph which activated the “flux capacitor.”
On a related note, Back to the Future director Robert Zemeckis recently said there aren’t any plans for a new movie/franchise and we believe this is a smart move taking into account the three movies were epic and told the full story, so there’s no reason to force another movie for the sake of making money.
