Mercedes AMG GTR Official Photos Leaks Online – Video

The high-performance machine that sit on top of AMG’s food chain has appeared on The German Car Forum, hours before its official unveiling.

Aimed at the likes of the McLaren 675LT and Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the car’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 reportedly develops 75 PS (75hp) and 37 lb-ft (50 Nm) of torque more than the GT S variant, bringing the total output to 577 HP (585 PS) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft). Of course, we’ll have to wait for the official figures to know for sure.

In any case, that’ll be enough to trim a few tenths of the GT S’s 0 to 100 Km/h time of 3.6 seconds and increase its top speed especially as the GT R is expected to be lighter than the 1,645kg (3,627 lbs) GT S thanks to carbon fiber body-panels.
