Kawasaki H2R World Record 248MPH In 26 Seconds – Video
The sensation of speed on a motorcycle versus in a car is very different. Needless to say 248 mph feels a lot faster—and is much more dangerous—on the back of a motorcycle. That speed was recently hit by Kenan Sofuoglu, a Turkish professional motorcycle racer. Sofuoglu made his run on a Kawasaki Ninja H2R and had the Izmit Bay Bridge (located near Istanbul) closed for the attempt. Hitting 248 mph took 26 seconds, with the time at high speeds purposefully kept low to reduce the chance of a tire blowing out.
