Jaguar Project 7 – evo Review – Video
evo’s Jethro Bovingdon reviews the new Jaguar Project 7. Does SVO’s work deliver?
Whipped together by Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations division, the Project 7 gets a lowered windshield, a cool D-type-inspired fairing behind the driver’s head, a towering rear wing, and a slew of aerodynamic upgrades over the F-type V-8 S roadster on which it is based.
t also receives a big power upgrade over that car, in the form of an additional 80 horsepower and 42 lb-ft of torque, for totals of 575 and 502. That’s even more power than the F-type R coupe gets, stuffed into an F-type that has been stripped of nearly 200 pounds of extraneous weight.
(Roof? Who needs a stinkin’ roof?!) Customers will be able to choose from five colors here in the States: Glacier White, Ultra Blue, Ultimate Black, Caldera Red, and the only color worth specifying—in our opinion—British Racing Green.
