Historic Photos Of The Nurburgring Track Being Built
It’s where accidents have happened and lives have been lost, life-long injuries happened, and dreams of victory fulfilled. The Nurburgring race track aka “Green Hell” is all of that and so much more. Its official construction began in autumn 1925 and was completed after two years in spring of 1927.
It has welcomed to the general public (for a small fee) since the very start. Racing stopped during World War II but continued after the war ended. The track has undergone a number of changes over the years, and all told it has taken more than 200 lives. These pictures of the ‘Ring’s construction makes it all the more epic.
