Full Ford Models Unveiling In Shanghai, China – Video
Ford Motor Company today detailed an ambitious vision for the China market at its special Go Further event as it accelerates its transformation into an auto and a mobility company.
The company unveiled a host of new vehicles – from the redesigned Mustang coupe to the new EcoSport SUV. It also detailed plans to bring a lineup of new electrified vehicles to Chinese customers and confirmed the launch of FordPass in China will offer motorists a more simple, seamless day-to-day experience. Ford also detailed a RMB 1.3 billion investment to accelerate innovation and R&D in Nanjing, China, including a new test track and powertrain lab.
The event closed with news that Built Ford Tough – Ford’s best-selling pickup franchise – is coming to China starting with the dynamic F-150 Raptor this year and the tough, smart Ranger midsized pickup next year.
“Ford’s compelling vision for China is designed to make lives better and simpler for customers across the country,” said Mark Fields, Ford president and CEO, who led the event in Shanghai. “We are transforming Ford into an auto and a mobility company, and that strategy is coming to life in the world’s largest auto market like never before.”
