Fiat 126p with Honda VTEC turbo engine swap – Video
This Poland-built Fiat 126p no longer has a two-cylinder engine as a Lithuanian tuner by the name of Tomas Nenartovic managed to squeeze in a Honda 1.6-liter VTEC engine. He took it from an old Civic Si where it offered 125 bhp (93 kW), but for this application he slapped on a turbo to take output to around 170 bhp (127 kW). That might not be overly impressive, but keep in mind a stock 126p weighs as little as 580 kg (1,278 lbs). This one is obviously heavier due to the significantly larger engine, but it still must have an excellent power-to-weight ratio.
