Factory Five Racing 818 – Subaru WRX Turned Into Supercar – Video

A leader in creating custom kit car replicas of Shelby Cobras and beautiful Daytonas, Factory Five began with vintage replicas when it was put on the map back in 1995.

But performance often didn’t match the appearance of the vehicles they made. With the 818, Factory Five looked to move beyond entry vehicles and into the world of supercars.

Named after the vehicle’s target weight of 818 kg which is very lightweight, supercar performance from the 818 was created from taking Subaru running gear and housing it in a lightweight frame and stream lined body.

Using either a regular Impreza or a more potent WRX turbo with optional tuning available, the 818 can accelerate from 0-60 mph in the high threes.

And the best the part is that you can build it yourself if you choose: that’s something you don’t often say about a any supercar.
