Dodge Viper production will end in 2017
The Dodge Viper is an American icon but it appears it could be headed to the automotive graveyard in the sky.
According to Allpar, the most recent contract between Fiat Chrysler and the UAW calls for the Viper to be discontinued in the 2017 model year. The report goes on to say the company isn’t planning a successor for everyone favorite snake that isn’t named Cobra.
While it’s probably too soon to be writing the Viper’s obituary, the model features an 8.4-liter V10 engine that produces 645 bhp (481 kW) and 600 lb-ft (812 Nm) of torque.
