Leonia, NJ – Cops have released dramatic video of a Leonia police department taking down a car jacker after he stole an Englewood Cliffs police car Monday.
The video shows police officers speeding after 22-year-old Sereymanta Kong after he rammed a New Milford police car. An Englewood police officer tried to stop Kong from carjacking a woman’s vehicle Monday. The woman pulled over after seeing Kong lying in the middle of the road.
The seven-minute long video clip begins on Teaneck Road as Leonia Police Officer Erik Goodell picks up the chase.
Kong led officers over center dividers and grass lawns, through red lights, and into oncoming traffic before police rammed his car to a half on Route 4 west.
