A closer look at the new Kia Cadenza – K7 – Video
We have managed to put together a nice video collection with Kia’s next-generation K7 / Cadenza billed as being an “all-new” model. The styling is certainly a step in the right direction as Peter Schreyer and his design team turned the new model into a sharp sedan, albeit with some German influences. The interior takes cues from the larger K9 / K900 / Quoris and seems to be substantially more upscale than its predecessor.
As for technical specifications, the new K7 is 195.6 inches (4970 mm) long, 73.6 inches (1870 mm) wide, and 57.8 inches (1470 mm) tall, with a 112.4 inches (2855 mm) wheelbase. Depending on engine choice, the curb weight varies from 3,450 pounds (1,565 kilograms) to 3,681 lbs (1,670 kg).
Speaking of the engines, the lineup encompasses a naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 187 horsepower (190 PS / 140 kW) and 178 pound-feet (241 Nm) of torque. A beefier solution is the turbocharged 3.3-liter, six-cylinder with 286 hp (290 PS / 213 kW) and 253 lb-ft (343 Nm). There’s also a more economical turbodiesel 2.2-liter rated at 199 hp (202 PS / 148 kW) and 325 lb-ft (441 Nm) of torque.
