C6 Chevy Corvette Gets Hacked – Video

In the latest vehicle-hacking exploit in a summer full of these new issues, researchers from the University of California-San Diego say they’ve exploited a way to mess with braking system in a 2013 Chevy Corvette.

 

The issues may not be limited to that Corvette model only. Cyber-security researchers breached the American sports car’s security systems via a device they had plugged into this particular Corvette’s OBD-II port, and through that connection under the dash.

 

They sent certain messages that could turn windshield wipers on and off on comand and tamper with the scary brake system as the vehicle drove at low speeds for safety reasons.
