770HP Lamborghini Centenario At Geneva Motor Show – Video
Looking like a more ferocious Aventador SV, the Centenario is dressed entirely in carbon fiber to achieve a weight of 3,351 pounds (1,520 kilograms) and a weight-to-power ratio of 1.97 kg / hp. The body wasn’t modified just for the sake of making it more aggressive, but also to improve aerodynamic efficiency which is enhanced by the new extending rear wing providing extra downforce at high speeds.
The interior cabin has gone through some changes as well, with the center console now dominated by a large 10.1-inch touchscreen display with support for Apple CarPlay and internet browsing. More importantly, the system has built-in telemetry software which will prove to be useful on the track while the two cameras installed can record all the action. Located in the front trunk is a space designated for two helmets.
Lamborghini also installed a rear-wheel steering system and upgraded the naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine to 770 horsepower (566 kilowatts.) The Centenario is know the most powerful model to come out of Sant’Agata Bolognese and can run the 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) sprint in just 2.8 seconds.
The journey from 0 to 186 mph (300 kph) takes only 23.5 seconds before the supercar tops out at more than 217 mph (350 kph.). Just as impressive is the braking power as the Lamborghini Centenario will come to a full stop from 100 kph in just 30 meters and from 300 kph in 290 meters.
Lamborghini has plans to make 40 units, with half of them being coupes while the other half will be roadsters. All of them have already been sold at a starting price of $1.9M / €1.75M (plus tax.)
