218hp Entry-Level Audi Q7 Ultra 3.0TDI
Audi is excepting the European order books for the entry-level Audi Q7 which comes equipped with a 218 horsepower diesel engine.
As with all the Audi models carrying the ‘Ultra’ nameplate, the Audi Q7 Ultra 3.0TDI brings some impressive economy figures this time around, with the company announcing 5.5lt/100km (42.8mpg US) and 144g/km of CO2. This means a 28 per cent reduction in fuel economy when compared to its previous generation with performance remaining more than acceptable: 0-100km/h (0-62mph) comes in 7.1 seconds and the top speed is rated at 216km/h (134mph).
The 3.0-litre TDI Turbo diesel engine produces 218 horsepower and more importantly 500Nm of torque (368.8 lb ft tourqe) from 1,250 to 3,000rpm. This is the third variation to be added in the Audi Q7 range, after the 333 horsepower 3.0TFSI and 272 horsepower 3.0TDI models, with more still on the way, including a four-cylinder 248 horsepower 2.0-litre petrol turbo, a plug-in hybrid and the range-topping SQ7.
The price for the Audi Q7 Ultra 3.0TDI turbo diesel is set at €58,000 in Germany and the first vehicles will be delivered to dealerships in September 2015.
