2026 Ioniq 6 Facelift Unveiled: Wild New Design and More Buttons?

2026 Ioniq 6 Facelift Unveiled: Wild New Design and More Buttons?

Hyundai is not wasting any time freshening up the Ioniq 6. Even though it has only been around for three years, the electric sedan is already getting a mid-cycle update. Its design still looks futuristic, but now it is even more daring with a front-end refresh. The new split headlights give it a sleeker, more modern face, with the daytime running lights moved to a slim strip up top and the main headlights tucked subtly into the black portion of the bumper.

The updated Ioniq 6 also introduces a new N Line trim that brings sportier bumpers, a unique two-tone paint treatment, and design touches that remind us of the Ioniq 5 N Line. At the rear, Hyundai has simplified the look by replacing the large dual spoiler with a cleaner, ducktail-style aero piece. Black trim elements and chunkier bumpers give it a more aggressive stance. If you look closely at the official photos, you can also spot the full-performance Ioniq 6 N with its prominent rear wing. That version will be officially unveiled in July.

Hyundai is listening to customers who want tactile controls, not just digital screens. That is why the 2026 model includes more physical buttons than before. The lower center console has been reworked to feature a row of classic buttons next to the cup holders and wireless charging pad. Even the climate control interface has a slightly larger display while still retaining separate controls—no need to dig through menus while driving.

A few upgrades are exclusive to the Korean market, like the digital side mirror screens positioned near the edges of the dashboard. The new three-spoke steering wheel and improved materials throughout the cabin hint at a more upscale experience.

The 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 and the high-performance Ioniq 6 N made their debut at the Seoul Mobility Show 2025, but Hyundai has not yet released technical specs. Still, it is safe to expect the enhancements made to the Ioniq 5 will also be carried over here.
