Recently unveiled at the North American Auto Show in Detroit, the Passat GT offers over 20 unique design elements, as well as enhanced performance features.
The Passat GT builds off of the Passat R-Line trim with a number of sporty and premium design features. It comes standard with LED headlights, LED Daytime Running Lights and blackened LED taillights. Exclusive design touches include a GT badge, LED honeycomb grille, red accent line, a black roof and black mirror caps, rear bumper trim, door trim and window trim.
The cabin of the Passat GT has many stylish design touches as well, with it mirroring the black contrasting theme of the exterior. This includes black leatherette seating with Moonrock Gray inserts, black center console and black headliner. Standard comfort and convenience features include heated front seats, 8-way power driver’s seat, heated side mirrors, and the dual-zone Climatronic automatic climate control system. With standard multimedia/connectivity features like the Composition Media infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and SiriusXM Satellite Radio, it’s easy to stay well-connected and entertained while you’re on the road.
Under the hood of the Passat GT is the powerful 3.6-liter VR6 engine. Mated to the six-speed DSG automatic transmission, it delivers 280-hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. Also, the transmission comes with the Tiptronic paddle shifters for manual shifting capabilities. Furthering the performance of the Passat GT are its sports exhaust and lowered suspension.
