A budget car that feels every bit of its low sticker price, the Yaris is an afterthought in a competitive segment. A four-speed automatic and five-speed manual are available as mates for the Yaris’s 106-hp 1.5-liter inline-four, and an SE model is available for those seeking a sportier ride. Good visibility and the standard Toyota Entune infotainment system are some of the Yaris’s best features. Gripes aside, we can’t argue with Toyota’s famous marketing language for the Yaris: “It’s a car!”
