In the automobile market, it is always wise to give buyers a chance to choose between different drive-trains. For 2017, Toyota has decided to offer the Hilux with a range of engines.

As of now actual details are not out but three engines are probable. The first probable engine is a 2.7 L, 4-cylinder engine which is capable of producing 180 hp and 182 lb-ft of torque.

The second engine being rumored is a 2.8 L diesel (Cummins) unit capable of 180 hp and 340 lb-ft of torque. For more power, the vehicle will also feature a 4.0 L, V-6 engine that comes good with 200 hp. This engine replaces the previous 3.5 L mill. The three engines will be paired to a 6-speed computerized transmission that sends power to all wheels.
