2017 Suzuki Swift With New Turbo Engines – Video
After the first batch of spyshots of the 2017 Suzuki Swift circulated earlier this year, followed by leaked brochure images of the car, we now have official confirmation of how the new Swift will look – plus some specification details. Two pictures show the new mild hybrid versions of the Swift in Japanese Hybrid RS and Hybrid ML specifications.
The accompanying press release reveals that both of these Swift models use Suzuki’s SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) 48v mild hybrid system. This is comprised of the firm’s 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol engine with brake energy regeneration and an ISG Integrated Starter Generator that can boost performance under acceleration. The RS version of the Swift has the same efficiency tech but is based on the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo petrol engine.
