Like its more squared-off sibling, the coupe will be offered as the Mercedes-Benz GLC300 and the Mercedes-AMG GLC43. The engines are unchanged for coupe duty, with the GLC300’s 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder making the same 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, and the AMG’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 putting out 362 horsepower and 384 lb-ft. The standard GLC300 is offered as a rear-wheel-drive base model, but the coupes come only with a nine-speed automatic and 4MATIC all-wheel drive—on the AMG, that 4MATIC system is programmed to send 69 percent of available torque to the rear axle.
