2017 Hyundai Genesis G80 Unveiling – Video
Compared to the 2016 Hyundai Genesis sold in the United States, the 2017 Genesis G80 boasts aesthetic tweaks like the more imposing front grille and bumpers, as well as slightly different headlights.
Next to the 2017 Genesis G80, the automaker presented the 2017 Genesis G80 Sport at the Busan Auto Show. This trim level ups the ante with sporty bumpers, four exhaust tips, and a mesh grille that substantially changes the visual character of the mid-size sedan.
The South Korean model is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard. For those customers who need more grip and traction, Genesis offers HTRAC AWD as an option. The least potent engine in the range is a 3.8-liter V6 GDI with 311 HP and 293 lb-ft (397 Nm) on tap. Next up there’s the Lambda II 3.3-liter twin-turbo GDI V6 rated at 365 HP and 376 lb-ft (510 Nm) of torque.
In the United States of America, the range-topping engine option will come in the form of 5.0-liter GDI V8 that churns out 420 HP and 383 lb-ft (519 Nm). As standard, the 2017 Genesis G80 comes with genuine wood trim with a matte finish, aluminum, adaptive headlights, Apple CarPlay for your iPhone, and so on.
