2016 Audi A4 Avant Live Photos
Audi has published several live photos with the recently introduced 2016 Audi A4 Avant.
If you haven’t made up your mind whether the new Audi A4 with its sharpened up evolutionary design suits your style, Audi has dropped several pics with the more practical wagon painted in what appears to be Tango Red, one of the 15 hues offered for the B9 generation.
With the Audi Avant it’s all about cargo capacity which thankfully has increased by 15 liters compared to the previous model so now the compact premium wagon can hold up to 505 liters of your stuff or 1,510 liters after the 40:20:40-split rear bench is folded.
Compared to the Audi A4 Sedan, the Audi Avant is actually 1 mm shorter and 7 mm taller and comes as standard with black roof rails as well as a subtle roof-mounted spoiler. While the sedan has a drag coefficient of 0.23, the Audi Avant is less aerodynamic as it has a 0.26 Cd.
It should be mentioned Audi’s engineers used aluminum for the tailgate and the nodes in the upper ends of the D pillar and together with other weight-saving measures have shaved off up to 120 kg (264 lbs) compared to the old model.
