1993 Toyota Supra with 33K miles on Ebay auction – How Much will it sell for?
This 1993 Toyota Supra Turbo (VIN JT2JA82J0P0005451) looks very well kept and has a claimed 33k miles from new. A lot of these twin turbos were saddled with automatics, but this one has the proper 6-speed and a good color to boot. Look for it on eBay in Bloomington, Illinois with no reserve and bidding just over $40k with five days to go.
Black looks good on most any car, but works particularly well on these late Supras. The very 90s soft-form OEM alloys might not be the most aggressive setup, but they suit the car well and don’t look too small as do many factory designs on cars from this era do. The Targa top is an excellent option and we’ve always liked how seamlessly integrated its design is.
One critique often levied against these cars is the relatively bare bones interior design, which is sometimes unfavorably compared with that of a Corolla or Camry. We think this is unfair, as there is something to be said for a no-nonsense, driver-centered layout–anyone else kind of miss the once popular “cockpit” dash layout theme? Camel carpeting and upholstery create a nice contrast, and the simple instrumentation font and big, central tach mean business.
In Japanese car tuning circles, few engines are so revered as the 2JZ-GTE. In stock form, these cars are capable of ~5 second 0-60 MPH sprints, with heavily-tuned examples making three times or more than the standard 320 HP. It is refreshing to see one as stock and untouched as this, though space certainly looks to be at a premium here. The seller states that “everything is functional,” though low-mileage survivors such as these should be checked for rotted rubber, old fluids, etc.
Remember when these were $30k cars? We wish we had picked one up then.
