1160HP Koenigsegg Agera RS Naraya – Video
The Agera RS to debut at Salon Privé features a high level of customisation at the request of the vehicle’s owner. The owner has named the car ‘Naraya’, a name closely associated with his family.
Naraya features a body completed in a blue-tinted clear-carbon finish, with extensive highlights finished in gold leaf on both the exterior and interior of the car.
The gold leaf was applied by hand at the Koenigsegg factory in Angelholm, Sweden, by Ettore ‘Blaster’ Callegaro, a renowned craftsman from Italy, famed for his work with customised cars and motorcycles. The process took two full weeks, working 12 hour days, six days per week.
The leaf is applied to the glued surface of the part/panel and once secure, it is ‘turned’ by hand using a small tool the size of a champagne cork. The gold leaf is then finished with multiple coats of clear, along with the rest of the body, to protect it from scratching.
Naraya also features Koenigsegg’s first ever carbon fibre tub chassis that is painted in the same blue tint as the exterior of the car, a unique finish that continues the exquisite exterior theme inside the car.
The interior of the car features blue alcantara with gold piping and stitching, more leaf gold highlights and an 18 carat yellow gold Naraya name plate with 155 cultured diamonds created by Ada Diamonds in California.
Naraya has Koenigsegg’s twin turbo V8 engine producing 1160hp and 1280Nm of torque, putting power to the ground via a CIMA 7-speed paddle-shift transmission, a Koenigsegg E-differential and Koenigsegg’s own traction and stability control systems.
The car features a full suite of comfort and safety equipment including climate control, sports seats, detachable hardtop with lightweight roof, power windows, adjustable pedals and steering column, carbon ceramic brakes with Sport ABS, front/rear hydraulic lifting system, power steering, power brakes, USB connection, digital warning and information systems, G sensor, alarm and tire monitoring system.
