1.73sec Pit Stop by Mercedes F1 Team – Video

 

Mercedes claims that Nico Rosberg’s pit stop during the Hungarian Grand Prix was a new Formula 1 record, with the team’s own data suggesting all four tyres were changed in a staggering 1.73 seconds.

There’s more to this than you might think. F1’s own data registered the stop at a more modest – but still impressive – 2.15 seconds, beating Williams by just 0.01 seconds to the DHL Fastest Lap Award for the Hungarian GP.
